"Following Jesus"
by Jim Humphrey
Tonight, Jim provides a devotional on what it means to follow Jesus. He discusses actions that we need to be doing. In Mathew 4, the fishermen: Peter, Andrew, James and John, left their nets and follow Jesus. This is analogous to what we should do. We should stop doing anything that is not on the path of righteousness. We should seek and love the lost. We should continually reflect on our actions and ensure that we are following Jesus with all of our efforts. Sometimes this will not be easy and may make you uncomfortable. But being there for someone in need and bringing someone back to God is what is important.

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
