"Do You Love Me?"  - (John 21:15-17)

• Observations from Context:
  • Peter is struggling with his past
  • Peter is reminded of his past
  • Peter is helped to overcome his past

1. Jesus initiates love
2. This question requires an honest self-evaluation
3. No one can love Jesus in our place
4. When we love Jesus, we care about what He cares about
   1. What does Jesus care about?
      1. "COMPASSION"

• Jesus tells Peter... What awaited him in the future.
• Jesus tells us... What awaits us in the future.
